Frontend developer. 3D & AI.

Interfaces, real-time 3D, browser games and AI built into the product, from the first screen to launch day. The robot up there is the proof: ask it about anything below and it answers out loud.

01 · Perplace

Cities that are data, not pictures.

Perplace generates 3D cities from public map data: the street, the facades, the trees and lamps, and buildings you can walk into. One connected world, editable, in private beta with paid pilots for design, game and simulation teams. It is the most ambitious thing I work on.

The catch

Most 3D cities are a pretty picture. Walk up to a door and there is nothing behind it, and nothing in the scene knows it is a door. A game, a design tool or a simulation can't do anything with that.

My part

I design and build the 3D product, its landing and its posts, and every shipped day gets a public note in the changelog. Not every idea survives it: my first pass at hiding covered faces turned 39 draw groups into 1,510. It went in the bin.

The sidewalk of Race Street in Perplace: a tree in its pit, the stone base and the brick of the facade, the street going away
Race Street at eye level: the sidewalk, the tree pits, stone and brick
Downtown Pittsburgh in Perplace from 9 m up: a row of trees and street lamps, awnings, shop signs and a painted wall sign

Receipts: the public build log

  1. Day 1 · Jul 24A world engine, built on a knowledge graph.
  2. Day 46Public demo. A whole city, 60 fps, in a browser.
  3. Day 54"Try it" opens: describe a world in a text box.

Fifty-four days, fifty-four notes. Go check.

02 · Doubland

A live show of AI Doubles, from prototype to production.

Doubland is a show starring AI Doubles of real people. You make yours, then watch it live, 24/7, in a pixel town full of your friends' Doubles, and replay any moment you missed. Invite-only beta.

03 · Powtoon · March 2022 – December 2025

Three years shipping AI video to real browsers.

Powtoon makes video creation tools that run in the browser, out of London. For three-plus years I was one of its React developers, remote, inside a real machine: backend, design and QA teams, team leads, scrum.

My own site

You're on it. Ask the robot about my work, in English or Spanish, and it answers out loud while a board behind it draws whatever it's talking about. Underneath, every section is real HTML, so Google and AI assistants read all of it.

The heroes of Valley of Guardians, pixel art

Valley of Guardians

Browser game · as part of the team

A React and Supabase browser game that reached about 80,000 users, and about 10,000 kept coming back. As part of the team I built product screens and the daily reset that runs under all of them.

Products, end to end

Four products. Each one had a hard part.

  • Jarre home page

    Jarre

Paste a YouTube video, get a course: lessons, quizzes, spaced repetition, and a tutor you talk to out loud.

    Next.js · Supabase · Gemini Live

  • Sweepy home page

    Sweepy

Gmail, sorted by AI from a Chrome extension. A sender cache, a backup model when the first one fails, and five minutes to undo anything. It is your inbox, after all.

    Next.js · Manifest V3 · Claude · GPT

  • e-translator

Technical manuals into other languages, layout intact. The sample PDF looked fine and lied: its text layer was garbage. A pilot in about a day, the test document from about 5 minutes to about 1, and a five-star review.

    Python · Docling · Tesseract · PyMuPDF

  • Flópiti: destructible terrain and the player

    Flópiti

Multiplayer 2D in the browser, on terrain you blow apart. The server simulates at 60 Hz and has the last word; the browser predicts and corrects, on 8 to 16 KB/s per player.

    React · Phaser · Node · uWebSockets

Experiments and smaller builds

Career, from the start

I didn't start as a developer. I started coding anyway.

How I work

No surprises. Your idea over my taste.

Measure first
I measure before I decide, write down why, and ship in small steps with tests, checked on real phones.
Your idea first
Your call beats my taste. Three years of Architecture school gave me a way of looking; I use it on your idea, not instead of it.
Clear and in order
A written update every day, a call every two weeks or once a month. That is how you get 5★ and Top Rated on Upwork.

Freelance

Websites, apps and 3D experiences for agencies, startups and businesses, ideally for the long run. Doubland started as an Upwork contract; today it's a direct one.

Full-time, remote

I'm looking for a full-time remote role at a creative, cutting-edge company that sweats design and detail: AI, 3D worlds or digital twins.

Rather ask first? Scroll up and talk to the robot. It knows every project on this page and answers out loud.
