Nicolás Demaria

I build visual, interactive experiences for the browser: interactive 3D worlds and digital twins, browser games, real-time conversational avatars, and agent simulations.

Work

  1. Perplace: an editable 3D city generated from a real place

    3d world creation

    Perplace

Perplace is the most important project I work on today. It is a 3D world creation tool: it generates editable 3D cities, buildings and interiors.

    • editable 3D cities, buildings and interiors
    • cities → buildings → interiors as one connected world
    • private beta with paid per-project pilots
  2. Doubland: the live town where the AI Doubles meet

    agent world sim

    Doubland

Doubland is my most important freelance project with a client: eight months so far, working inside their team. It is a product by Doubland, Inc. in Pittsburgh: you create an AI Double based on your personality and watch it live in a town with other Doubles, as a show about you and your friends.

    • most important freelance client engagement, eight months
    • AI Doubles of real people, live 24/7 with replay
    • agent movement, conversations, place data, replay, performance
  3. Valley of Guardians: the browser battler home screen

    seasonal live-ops game

    Valley of Guardians

Valley of Guardians is a browser game product that kept growing beyond the core mechanic. It combines React + Vite + Supabase across auth, battle surfaces, leaderboards, shop flows, seasonal systems, admin tooling, and live operations.

    • React + Vite + Supabase
    • battle + leaderboard + shop + auth surfaces
  4. Flópiti: a frame of the game, destructible terrain and the player

    combat ai systems

    Flópiti

Flópiti is a 2D multiplayer game I built around low-latency feel: React and Phaser on the client, a Node and uWebSockets authoritative server, destructible terrain, and custom networking with client prediction and reconciliation.

    • React 19 + Phaser 3.90
    • Node + uWebSockets.js + Matter.js
    • destructible terrain + delta sync
  5. The experimental landing: tilted type on white paper and the 3D avatar

    real-time avatar

    This landing

This landing is one of my projects: a personal landing where a 3D VRM avatar talks with the visitor by voice in real time and answers in first person about the work.

    • real-time voice conversation with Gemini Live
    • VRM avatar with lip sync, blinking, gaze and gestures
    • a whiteboard that draws on the audio clock
  6. Jarre: a course generated from a YouTube video

    ai learning engine

    Jarre

I built Jarre as an open learning platform that turns YouTube videos into structured courses with generated lessons, quizzes, timestamps, voice tutoring, and spaced repetition.

    • 44+ Supabase tables
    • 6 pipeline stages
    • 7 voice modes
  7. Wormhole Tunnel, a GLSL noise experiment

    67 builds since 2021

    Experiments

Besides the main projects, I keep 67 experiments and smaller builds since 2021, where I test techniques before using them for real: games, 3D scenes, desktop companions, apps with auth and data, AI agents and tools.

About

I am obsessive about detail. I enjoy spaces, sensations and colors and have an eye for aesthetics, and three years of Architecture gave my creativity a technical method. I listen to what the client wants and never put my own preferences above it.

My stack leads with the visual side: Three.js, React Three Fiber and WebGL for 3D worlds, Phaser for browser games, and three-vrm for this avatar, all on React and TypeScript, where my production depth is 5+ years. Backend is a capability I integrate, not my lane: I know and can wire Supabase, SQL, auth, Docker and some Kubernetes, plus Node on game servers, and Python where a project needs it, like the e-translator document pipeline.

Off the clock I ride my motorcycle, swim in the sea and go hiking; I used to play basketball. I have always painted, drawn and written.
